On March 26, 2005 Firefighter, Travis J. Long, passed away in a motorcycle accident.

The Travis Jason Long Firefighter Memorial Fund, Inc. was established in his memory to help educate future Firefighters.  This non-profit organization is designed to provide scholarships for future firefighters to attend Broward Fire Academy in Davie, Florida and EMS Academy in Plantation, Florida.  Potential recipients are required to fill out a scholarship application and complete the interview process.  Please visit the Scholarship page for more information.
