The Travis Jason Long Firefighter Memorial Fund will award two scholarships per year to applicants needing assistance and showing desire to become a firefighter.

In order to be eligible, the applicant must satisfactorily complete and pass all of
Broward Fire Academy's requirements (http://www.bfa.edu/).

Scholarships awarded must be used as the Broward Fire and EMS Academies determine.

Applicant must complete all portions of the application to be considered for the scholarship.

The chosen recipient of the scholarship will receive funding, paid to the Broward Fire Academy, and/or EMS Academy from The Travis Jason Long Firefighter Memorial Fund.

Recipients will be evaluated throughout the program in order to maintain their status in the program. Scholarships can be revoked for just cause.

Previous applicants must submit a new application each year to be considered.
